OK but memorable for the wrong reasons

Rooms have been painted but... tub chair has the bottom out of it hanging down underneath, no handle on the chest of drawers, phone didn't work. Furniture has seen better day. Staff were great but room wasn't serviced so had to ask for loo rolls,tea etc. Tiles cracked in the bathroom, dirty windows clearly someone has stood at the window and has their mouth on the glass, green around the tap. Shame as in a great position paid £321 for 2 night accommodation during the marathon cost an extra £50 to park. I know london is expensive but. BRITANNIA INVEST IN YOUR HOTELS

My wife and I, both of us in our late sixties, stayed overnight in this hotel as part of a National Holiday’s coach trip down to London to see ABBA Voyage, and it was pretty much as we expected due to the fact that we’ve stayed at other hotels owned by this chain. On arrival we were asked to wait until all of the coach party had gotten off and gathered in the hotel lobby. Now this was an incredibly tiresome and pointless exercise, and only extended the amount of time it took to get into our rooms (we only had less than an hour to freshen up, change, make drinks and get back on the coach to be taken to the arena). The reason for us assembling in the lobby in this fashion was that the concierge wanted to brief us, but we could not hear a single word he was saying, so as I’ve stated it was utterly senseless and a complete waste of time. At the end of the so called briefing he proceeded to hand out the key cards. Luckily, or so we thought, we were called second, so made our way to our room on the seventh floor. Unfortunately, our key cards had not been programmed correctly, so I had to leave my wife and wait quite a while for a lift as everyone was by now using them to get to their rooms. When I arrived back in reception I had a long wait for my cards to be reprogrammed as the person that was given the task did not seem to know what she was doing, so had to get another member of staff involved. Anyway, after some fifteen minutes I was on my way back to my room, but people were still queuing for the lifts, so by the time we had gotten into our room we only had just over half an hour to get ready, so thank you Britannia for the incredibly poor admin. Anyway, the room was much as we expected – quite large, but in need of some TLC (worn carpets, worn chairs, handles missing from drawers, poor standard of decoration etc. etc.). It was clean and we got a good night’s sleep, but hotels owned by this chain in our judgement are always in this state, so like I stated we knew what to expect. Everything we needed for the overnight stay was in the room, so it wasn’t too bad a place to call home for the short period we stayed there. Breakfast was just okay. It wasn’t anything special, but there was enough to fill us up to lunchtime. Like I’ve said, we’ve stayed with this chain before, so know that they charge reasonable prices for what you get, so I’m guessing that National Holidays got a good deal from the hotel, and it wasn’t too bad a place to accommodate us overnight.

Payed £240 for 2 nights and had to pay extra for WiFi and breakfast cannot open windows and AC is sooo loud but nice staff they said there's a pool but there wasn't it wasn't really worth the price but clean room and near the jubilee line which gets you to London bridge, dungeons London eye and the O2 might be back

We stayed here last weekend food was pretty good bed was pretty good too but the room was too hot no opening windows. Must admit though they gave us a small desk fan at reception which didn't help as the 2 bedside plugs were round pin not square so the fan had to be put on the dressing table miles away.. The furniture needs updating and a proper shower installed not the bath mixer tap one. Nice area where the hotel is located though

On arrival walking past the rubbish ship I reached the check in desk. The employee had never heard of Blue Light emergency services discount. Clearly displayed on the front page of company web site. She told me that was not their hotel chain? Manger stated do not provide emergency services discount. Ok. Wash hand basin leaked. No information the restaurant was closed on check in. And when I booked an evening meal. Ended up in the pizza side restaurant with an overcooked/destroyed steak. Watering frozen fries and a salad side I would not touch. Danger. Electrical riser open. Fire hazard. Smoke spread hazard.
